HOW IT HAPPENED
- 1st, 5:27 // 1-0 – BC GOAL: Kaliya Johnson started the play in the Eagles' zone, playing Makenna Newkirk up at the BC blue line. The freshman then connected with Haley Skarupa at the Merrimack blue line, and Skarupa skated around a Merrimack defender before launching a rising shot that beat Warriors goaltender Samantha Ridgewell for the 1-0 lead.
- 1st, 7:53 // 2-0 – BC GOAL (PPG): A Megan Keller blast from the point kicked around in the crease and Alex Carpenter got a stick on the puck, but Ridgewell pushed it wide where Kenzie Kent banged it home through a small opening between the post and the goaltender with :02 left on the man-advantage.
- 1st, 15:41 // 3-0 – BC GOAL: Andie Anastos came out of a scrum on the wall and skated deeper in the zone, finding Dana Trivigno in the high slot. Newkirk skated off the boards toward the edge of the circle, where Trivigno found her for the snapshot and a 3-0 lead.
- 2nd, 1:25 // 3-1 – MER GOAL (PPG): With :10 left on a Tori Sullivan penalty that carried over from the end of the first period, Felila Manu's shot from the blueline was deflected in off a BC player for a power-play goal to get the Warriors on the board.
- 3rd, 9:36 // 4-1 – BC GOAL: Megan Keller wound up to shoot from the blue line, but instead found Meghan Grieves in the slot. Ridgewell made the initial save on Grieves' shot, but the puck was loose and Capizzano jumped on the rebound and poked it in.
