Strong Weekend Against Marist

This weekend the swim and dive teams traveled to Poughkeepsie, NY to compete against Marist College. The two schools posed tough competition for each other when both teams were represented in the top 3 finishers of almost every event. In the end, the men's team was triumphant over Marist with a final score of 160-140, while the women lost 175-120.

Results

BC Highlights:

The men's A medley relay team of Josh Williams '17, McKenzie Cole '18, David Howard '17 and Dan Kelly '16 started the meet on a strong note, taking first place with a time of 1:35.35.
Maureen Barron '16 had top swims in the 100 yd. breaststroke, grabbing second place with a time of 1:07.19, and in the 100 yd. freestyle, coming in second place with a time of 53.82.
Dan Kelly had a top swim in the 50 yd. freestyle where he captured first place with a time of 20.90.
Cole Malatesta '17 finished first in the men's 16 m. diving with a final score of 341.55, dominating over the Marist second place finisher by more than 30 points.
Jordan Parry '16 captured first in the 100 yd. butterfly with a top swim time of 59.12.
Erika Freeman '19, Emily Mann '18, and Katherine Karle '19 swept the 200 yd. IM taking first second and third with times of 2:13.83, 2:14.75, and 2:19.93.

With less than a month to go until the ACC championship in North Carolina, the Eagles only have 4 meets left. This weekend the Eagles will travel to Vermont to compete at the Dartmouth Invitational January 22-23.
