Boston College opens up the ACC Conference play on the road as the Eagles will play at Virginia Tech on Sunday, Jan. 3 at Cassell Coliseum (2 p.m.). Fans can view the game on the Hokies website at HokiesXtra!.

The Eagles have won six consecutive games and are currently 11-1. This is the Eagles best start since the 2010-11 season.

Boston College defeated Bryant, 73-42, behind 20 points and seven boards from Mariella Fasoula and 17 points from Emilee Daley. Senior Nicole Boudreau chipped in with 12 points.
The Hokies are the hottest team in the ACC. Tech is 12-1 and has won 10 consecutive games. Virginia Tech is coming off a 72-45 victory over Furman on Thursday. Four players reached double-figures – 14 from Sidney Cook, 10 points apiece from Chanette Hicks, Taijah Campbell and Rachel Camp.

Boston College opens up the 2015-16 ACC season at (RV) Virginia Tech on Sunday, Jan. 3 at 2 p.m. This will be the 45th meeting between the two teams with the overall record at 11-11.
Since joining the ACC, BC is 9-6 against the Hokies. The Eagles have also won four of the nine games played at Cassell.
Last year, Boston College escaped with a 49-47 victory after then-rookie Katie Quandt hit two free throws with 2.5 to play in the game. Kelly Hughes finished with 17 points while Nicole Boudreau had eight points, five rebounds and four assists.

Kelly Hughes was perfect from the 3-point arc (six-for-six) against Northeastern on Monday. It marked the fifth game in which she hit six or more three's in a game. It also marked the third time she was perfect from beyond the arc. She has hit six three's in four career games. Her personal best is seven, which she hit against Wake Forest on Feb. 12, 2015.

Boston College snapped a five game losing streak against ACC foe Virginia Tech with a 63-53 victory at Cassell Coliseum on Jan. 3, 2008. The Eagles were led by then-freshman center Carolyn Swords with 14 points and six rebounds while rookie point guard Jaclyn Thoman added a career-high 13 points. Sophomore Ayla Brown contributed 11 points, five rebounds and four steals, while junior Brittanny Johnson added seven points and had a career-high seven assists.
