PLAYOFF SPOT, PLAYOFF HOME ICE - CHECK
At 16-0-0 in Hockey East play, the Eagles have secured a Hockey East Tournament playoff berth ... however, with eight games left in the conference season, the Eagles have already claimed one of the four home-ice berths in the conference's best-of-three quarterfinal round ... the Hockey East Tournament will begin Feb. 26 at campus sites, and the semifinal (March 5) and championship (March 6) will be played at Merrimack's Lawler Rink.
KELLER FASTEST TO 50
Megan Keller recorded her 50th career point on Saturday in the win over Merrimack ... her 50th point came in her 60th career game, making her the fastest defenseman to reach the 50-point mark in BC history ... the sophomore U.S. National Team blue liner has recorded 12 goals and 38 assists ... in the BC record books, she is currently ranked seven in defenseman points (38), tied for seventh in defenseman goals (12) and ninth in defenseman assists (38).
BURT: 50 WINS UP NEXT - IS SHE FASTEST? YOUNGEST?
When Katie Burt returns to goal in her next start, she will be looking for her 50th career win... Burt is 49-3-2 in 54 career appearances ... should she record her 50th win in her next three appearances, she would become the fastest goaltender in NCAA history to reach 50 wins ... former Wisconsin goaltender Alex Rigsby '14 currently holds that mark at 50 wins in 58 appearances ... additionally, Rigsby was 20 years, 24 days old when she reached 50 wins ... Burt is only 18, and turns 19 next week, so she would be the youngest player in NCAA history to reach 50 wins.
BURT ALSO BORDERING ON 1000 SAVES
Katie Burt is also close to recording her 1,000th career save ... she enters Tuesday's game with 989 saves ... she is currently eighth in career saves at BC as Sharon VanTuyl '02 has 1,198 in seventh place ... Burt is the Eagles' career leader in save percentage (.945), a mark that would rank second in NCAA history (Noora Raty, Minnesota '13 - .946).
REGULAR-SEASON NON-CONFERENCE SUCCESS
Since 2012-13, Boston College has compiled a 27-7-4 regular-season record in non-conference match-ups ... so far this season, BC is 7-0-0 vs. non-league opponents ... in 2014-15, BC went 9-1-1 during the regular season against non-Hockey East opponents, with the lone loss coming to No. 4 Harvard in the Beanpot championship ... in 2013-14, the Eagles were 7-3-2 against non-HEA foes, after an 8-3-1 mark in 2012-13.

- Harvard is the last team to defeat the Eagles, last doing so on March 20 in the NCAA semifinal (2-1 loss) ... of BC's three losses in 2014-15, Harvard accounted for two of them as the Crimson also topped the Eagles in the Beanpot championship (3-2 on Feb. 10).
- BC is ranked second nationally in scoring (5.435 gpg) and third nationally in scoring defense (1.17 gapg) ... while Harvard is 13th in scoring offense (2.59 gpg), the Crimson are seventh in scoring defense (1.53 gapg).
- Alex Carpenter (28-27-55) is second in the nation in points and points per game (2.39), while Haley Skarupa is third in points (20-27-47) and fourth in points per game (2.04)
- Haley Skarupa's 2.67 points per game in January is the nation's second-best stat ... in three games, Skarupa has scored 6 goals and added 4 assists
