CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Freshman forward Ava Thomas has been named the Hockey Commissioners Association Rookie of the Month, earning her first national honor from the HCA following a standout February.

Thomas continued her impressive rookie campaign with a nine-point month (3 goals, 6 assists) as the Eagles posted a 5–3–0 record. Her two game-winning goals led all NCAA rookies during the month, including a decisive tally against No. 5 Northeastern.

Across eight games, Thomas consistently drove the Eagles' offense, contributing in multiple scoring situations while showcasing the playmaking ability that has defined her freshman season. Her three goals and six assists highlighted her impact on both ends of the ice as Boston College continued to push through the final stretch of the regular season.

Thomas' performance throughout the month helped pace the Eagles offensively while further cementing her place among the top rookies in the nation.
