Strachan, Workman Named Eagles of the Week

Pair honored for performances last week
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Sophomore linebacker Connor Strachan (football) and senior outside hitter Katty Workman (volleyball) have been named Eagles of the Week.
Strachan was named ACC Linebacker of the Week after setting career highs with nine tackles (seven solo), a sack and 2.5 tackles for a loss. He helped the BC defense hold Northern Illinois to just 72 rushing yards and only 153 total yards. Workman broke the Boston College career record for kills over the weekend that has lasted since 2007. She recorded 23 kills against Georgia Tech which brought her career total to 1,466. That broke Kelsey Johnson's record of 1,449.
Football (3-1, 0-1 ACC) travels to Duke for a 3:30 p.m. game on Saturday while volleyball (8-6, 0-2 ACC) is at Notre Dame and Louisville this weekend.
