- Junior Zeiko Lewis scored the Boston College goal in the 17th minute. He is now tied for the team lead in goals (4) with freshman Trevor Davock.
- Senior Alex Kapp made five saves in goal in his second start of the season.
TURNING POINT
Rhode Island's Dominik Richter scored the equalizer in the 33rd minute to cap the scoring and force the 1-1 draw.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Boston College forced URI keeper Nils Liefhelm to make a couple of early saves before Lewis struck in the 17th minute when he beat him to the near post.
- In the 26th minute, a BC foul in the box gave Rhode Island a penalty kick. Carlo Davids took the chance and shot wide of the target.
- Seven minutes later, Richter forced a turnover in the midfield and found Emil Jesman Sunde. He fed it back to Richter for the goal to tie the match.
- The Rams had a 10-5 advantage in shots in the second half but Kapp made four saves to get the match into overtime.
- BC took all seven shots in the two overtime periods but couldn't secure the game-winner.
- Davock had four of the shots and URI's Liefhelm was forced to make three saves.
