Fallout from the loss to FSU and quarterback Darius Wade's injury
Chestnut Hill, Mass. – It was an eventful weekend for the Boston College football team, to say the least.
The Eagles dropped a tough contest against then-No. 9 Florida State, 14-0, on Friday, despite a tremendous display from its defense. However, the biggest loss might be the collateral damage of losing quarterback Darius Wade for the remainder of the season to a broken ankle.
It's a loss that has head coach Steve Addazio scrambling for a Plan B. With Addazio still undecided on whether redshirt freshman Troy Flutie or true freshman Jeff Smith will get the nod moving forward, don't be surprised if both play a role against Northern Illinois this Saturday.Â
