BC HIGHLIGHTS
- Freshman Trevor Davock recorded a goal and an assist for his first three-point game as an Eagle. He was credited with the game-winner and assisted on the second score.
- Sophomore Idrissa Bangura scored his second goal of the season in the 67th minute.
- Junior Isaac Normesinu and freshman Simon Enstrom were both credited with assists on Davock's game-winner.
- Sophomore Cedric Saladin made two saves in goal for his second shutout of the season.
- BC head coach Ed Kelly recorded his 295th career win. He would become the 19th active head coach and the third in the ACC to reach 300 wins.
TURNING POINT
Normesinu sent in a cross from the right side that found Enstrom past the far post. Enstrom headed it towards the net and with his back to the goal, Davock flicked it past the goalkeeper in what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 12th minute.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After Davock's strike, BC got another quality chance with 20 minutes left in the first half when Enstrom blocked off a defender and sent a short pass to Normesinu. He fired, but his shot sailed just over the top-right corner.
- The Eagles had another opportunity with 33 minutes left in regulation when sophomore Mohammed Moro sent a long ball into a streaking Enstrom from midfield. Enstrom flicked it up past the keeper, but his ensuing header went wide of the target.
- The Eagles put the game away in the 67th minute when Enstrom found an open Davock for a shot. His attempt nailed the left post and deflected to the other side of the box. Bangura was waiting and he sent it home for the second goal.
- Both sides took eight shots but Pittsburgh never truly threatened. Corner kicks were also tied, 6-6.
