BC HIGHLIGHTS
- The defense held FSU running back Dalvin Cook to 54 yards, who entered the game averaging 211 yards per game. It also snapped a five-game streak of at least 100 yards on the ground for Cook.
- Sophomore defensive lineman Harold Landry led the Eagles with a career-high 10 tackles, including seven solo stops, a career-high 3.5 tackles for a loss and 1.5 sacks.Â
KEY PLAYS
- Trailing 7-0 in the fourth quarter, the Eagles were driving but sophomore Jon Hilliman fumbled on a force by Christmas and Jalen Ramsey recovered and scored on a 36-yard recovery to make it a 14-0 game.Â
- Sophomore starting quarterback Darius Wade was sacked on the next drive and was forced to leave the game with an injury.Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Seminoles scored on an eight-play, 83-yard drive to start the game, which would turn out to be the only offensive score of the game and the only touchdown until the fourth quarter. Quarterback Everett Golson hit Travis Rudolph on a nine-yard pass with just over 10 minutes left in the first quarter to open the game.
- The score remained the same as the Eagles' best chance was in the first quarter as they took it to the FSU 39-yard line but were forced to punt after an incomplete pass on a third-and-five.
- FSU kicker Robert Aguayo missed a 42-yard field goal attempt in the second quarter with two minutes left in the half to keep it a one-score game.
- At the end of the third quarter on third-and-eight, Wade rushed for nine yards for a first down at the BC 12-yard line. After a one-yard gain, the quarter came to a close and BC was able to start the fourth with a 15-yard completion to sophomore Charlie Callinan. After rushes by senior Bobby Swigert and sophomore Sherman Alston for a total of 14 yards, the Eagles were on the move, out at their 42-yard line. FSU's Demarcus Christmas forced Hilliman to fumble on a carry and Jalen Ramsey picked it up and scored from the 36 to seal the win for the Noles.
