Matt Ryan – QB Atlanta Falcons
Ryan is in his eighth season with the Falcons. He played every offensive snap in Week 1, completing 23 passes on 34 attempts for a total of 298 yards and two touchdowns. He helped lead the Falcons to a 26-24 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Andre Williams – RB New York Giants
Williams saw the field for 14 of the Giants' 62 offensive plays. He carried the ball six times for a total of 14 yards as the Giants lost to the Cowboys 27-26.
Anthony Castonzo – LT Indianapolis Colts
Castonzo played every snap on offense for a total of 77 in the first game of the season for the Colts. He helped protect Andrew Luck who threw 26-49 for 243 yards in a 27-14 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Gosder Cherilus – RT Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Played all 74 offensive snaps for the Bucs. Helped the team rush for 92 yards on 26 carries in the 42-14 loss to the Tennessee Titans.
Kasim Edebali – LB New Orleans Saints
Edebali is currently a backup linebacker for the Saints. He saw the field for four plays on defense this past Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.
Andy Gallik – C Tennessee Titans
Galik is currently a backup lineman for the Tennessee Titans. He played 11 snaps in the team’s 42-14 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Matt Hasselbeck – QB Indianapolis Colts
Hasselbeck is currently the backup quarterback for Andrew Luck and the Colts.
Mark Herzlich – LB New York Giants
Herzlich is a backup linebacker for the Giants. He played in four defensive snaps against the Dallas Cowboys last week and totaled two tackles, making the most of his opportunities. The Giants lost 27-26.
Luke Kuechly – LB Carolina Panthers
Kuechly suffered a concussion near the end of the first half of the opening game of the season. He wound up playing 32 of 67 defensive snaps for his team, registering seven tackles in the first half. As long as this concussion doesn’t linger, Kuechly should be in for another All-Pro caliber season. The Panthers beat the Jacksonville Jaguars by a score of 20 to 9.
Ifeanyi Momah – TE Arizona Cardinals
Momah was placed on season ending reserve on September 10th due to a torn meniscus.
Tyler Murphy – WR Pittsburgh Steelers
Former quarterback Tyler Murphy made the positional switch to wide receiver in his transition to professional football. He played seven out of 73 snaps for the Steelers. He did see one target and pulled it in for a 16-yard gain. The Steelers fell to the New England Patriots 28-21.
Kevin Pierre-Louis – LB Seattle Seahawks
Pierre-Louis was credited with one solo tackle in the Seahawks season opener against the St. Louis Rams. The game went into overtime with the Rams escaping, 34-31.
Ryan Quigley – P New York Jets
A three-year veteran, Quigley is the starting punter for the NY Jets. He booted the ball 3 times on Sunday for an average of 43.7 yards per punt.
B.J. Raji – DL Green Bay Packers
The 7-year veteran was on the field for 48 of 77 defensive snaps for the Packers. He was credited with four tackles, helping on one sack of Jay Cutler of the Chicago Bears. The Packers won 31-23.
Ian Silberman – OL San Francisco 49ers
Silberman is currently a backup lineman for the 49ers. He made the 53-man roster for the team in what is currently his rookie season.
