After Bobby Swigert scored his first touchdown since 2012 on Saturday, his first game action since undergoing 11 knee surgeries, he talked with the Boston Herald's Rich Thompson on how growing up only eight miles away from the Pro Football Hall of Fame helped build his passion for football, a passion he still displays each and every day.
Boston College freshman DE Zach Allen, who made his collegiate debut against Maine last weekend, was featured in the New Canaan (Conn.) Advertiser. Dave Stewart writes that Allen's three years of playing for the New Canaan Rams varsity team helped him get to where he is now.
Finally, congratulations to former Boston College Eagle Luke Kuechly, who received a contract extension with the Carolina Panthers on Thursday.
