CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College men’s soccer team has released its 2015 schedule, featuring eight home games and five matches against NCAA Tournament participants last season.
The Eagles will host four ACC matches and three of those games feature postseason teams, including defending NCAA Champion Virginia.
Boston College will begin the season with three of its first four games at home starting with the season opener against Quinnipiac (Aug. 28). After a trip down the road to Boston University (Aug. 31), BC returns to Newton to host SMU (Sept. 4) and Loyola Marymount (Sept. 6).
The Eagles are on the road for their first ACC contest at NC State (Sept. 11) before hosting Pittsburgh (Sept. 19) the following weekend. BC stays at home to host Connecticut (Sept. 22) three days later.
BC hits the road again for a pair of matches at Virginia Tech (Sept. 25) and Rhode Island (Sept. 29) before welcoming Wake Forest (Oct. 2) to the Newton Campus Field. The Demon Deacons played in the first round of the NCAA Tournament last year.
After a trip down Interstate 95 to take on Brown (Oct. 6), the Eagles will host defending national champion Virginia (Oct. 9).
Three of BC’s final four regular season matches will be on the road, beginning with Louisville (Oct. 16) and Clemson (Oct. 23) – two teams that reached the third round of the NCAA Tournament in 2014.
The Eagles’ final non-conference matchup will be at Harvard (Oct. 27) before concluding the season with a home match against Syracuse (Oct. 30), which also played in the third round of the NCAA Tournament last year.
For the first time this season, all rounds of the ACC Championship will be held on the campus of the higher seed. The tournament begins on November 4 with the title match scheduled for November 14.
