May 07, 2015 | Softball
BLACKSBURG, Va. - Boston College center fielder Megan Cooley earned Second Team All-ACC honors, the conference announced Thursday morning. This is the second straight year that Cooley has earned all-conference accolades after she earned third-team honors - and an NFCA all-region nod - as a sophomore in 2014.
This year in conference play, Cooley hit a team-best .271 while starting all 21 of the Eagles' ACC games. Her eight stolen bases (in nine attempts) were tied for third in conference play and her two triples in league play were tied for the conference's lead.
The Mill Creek, Washington, product batted .283 on the season and her 36 runs scored led the team. Cooley was 21-for-22 in stolen bases on the year, and posted a .933 fielding percentage in the outfield.
