Rowing Competes Against MIT, Dartmouth and UMass

Charles River, Mass.- BC raced their first home race of Spring 2015 against Dartmouth, UMass, and MIT in challenging conditions.
The Varsity Eight finished second to Dartmouth, who led for most of the race. BC pulled ahead of UMass in the 3rd 500 to finish 2nd ahead of UMass and ahead of MIT. The BC Varsity Eight won the BC-MIT Cup which is awarded to the fastest Varsity Eight between the two teams.
The BC Second Varsity Eight finished third behind Dartmouth and UMass. The Varsity Four finished second in the most challenging conditions of the day. The Second Varsity Four was challenged by Dartmouth and UMass, but pulled ahead for a decisive win during the second half of the race.
Due to high winds and rough water the Third Varsity Eight event, in which BC had two entries, was cancelled.

OUTLOOK
The BC and MIT Varsity Eights pulled together after the Varsity Eight race. Sophomore coxswain Annie Tenzinger hoisted the BC-MIT Cup.
