BC Sweeps Holy Cross and UConn

Worcester, Mass.- BC won five events to sweep Holy Cross and UConn on Sunday April 19th on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, MA.
The Varsity Eight won their event by 2.23 seconds with a time of 6:51.9 to win the Irving-Christensen Cup, which is awarded annually to the winner of the Varsity Eight event.
The Eagles Second Varsity Eight won with a time of 7:04.2, ahead of second place Holy Cross and UConn.
The Varsity Four finished with a time of 7:52.96, over 10 seconds ahead of Holy Cross and UConn.
The Second Varsity Four won with a time of 7:44.3, and won their race by the largest margin for BC, 18.74 seconds ahead of second place UConn A, UConn B, and Holy Cross.
BC entered two boats in the Third Varsity Eight Event. BC's A boat won with a time of 7:32.3, ahead of UConn. BC's other entry in that event was 3rd, 19.5 seconds behind their teammates and 15 seconds ahead of Holy Cross.
