TURNING POINT
With the game tied, 82-82, in the second overtime, Miami scored the next five points to build an 87-82 lead with 23 seconds left.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Miami opened the game with a 10-4 run over the first five minutes.
- Boston College responded after the first media timeout with a 17-5 run to build a 21-15 lead with 8:37 left in the half. Magarity scored the first seven points of that stretch.
- The Eagles took a 30-28 lead into halftime.
- Boston College scored seven unanswered points to build a 54-47 lead with 8:27 to play in regulation.
- The Hurricanes responded with a 7-1 run to pull within a point.
- Brown hit a pair of free throws with 40 seconds left which tied the game at 66-66 and sent the game to overtime.
- BC held a 75-71 lead with 25 seconds left in the first overtime, but Miami battled back and Deandre Burnett hit a pair of free throws with 12 seconds left that sent it into the second overtime.
- The game was tied for the 15th time, 82-82, with 2:03 left in the second OT, then Miami scored the next five points to seal the win. Tonye Jekiri hit four free throws to help build the lead.
