HANOVER, N.H.- The Boston College women's rowing program placed first and sixth in their Novice 8+ race on the Connecticut River course at the Green Monster Regatta in Hanover N.H. The regatta was hosted by Dartmouth College.
The Eagles Novice 8+ "A" boat finished first with a time of 17:12.7 while the "B" boat finished one minute later with a time of 18:12.2 to place sixth. The host Dartmouth displayed the most depth, finishing second and third at 17:27.5 and 17:44.1 respectively.
The first place "A" boat consisted of Lauren Hansford (coxswain), Meaghan McDonald (stroke), Katherine DeVlieger, Madison Cann, Jessica Zettlemoyer, Grace Brzozowski, Jillian Rapleee, Elizabeth Barrett and Paige Vignone (bow) while the sixth place "B" boat was manned by Danielle Eng (coxswain), Isabelle Daellenbach (stroke), Julia Barrett, Kelsey Lally, Gretchen Ray, Megan Lydon, Christy Verhoog, Isabel Chin and Sophie Spencer (bow).
The Eagles will complete their fall schedule next Saturday, Nov. 14, when they return to their home course for the Foot of the Charles, set to begin at 8 a.m.
