BC HIGHLIGHTS
- Freshman walk-on quarterback John Fadule threw for 257 yards on 23-for-37 passing with his first career touchdown and three interceptions. It was the most passing yards by a BC QB since Chase Rettig logged 285 yards against Villanova on Aug. 31, 2013.
- Senior David Dudeck recorded a career-high 81 yards on seven receptions and freshman Elijah Robinson notched a career-high 51 yards on four catches.
- With 10Â tackles for loss, the Boston College defense recorded its fifth double-digit total in 2015 and eighth since the start of the 2014 season.
KEY PLAYS
- NC State jumped out to a 14-0 lead at the end of the first half
- The Wolfpack added 10 more in the second half and although Fadule went 6-for-7 on a scoring drive late in the game and converted on a two-point conversion, it was too late for the Eagles to mount a comeback.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a scoreless first quarter, the Wolfpack got on the board with an 83-yard touchdown pass on the first play of State's drive from Jacoby Brissett to Maurice Trowell with 13:46 to go in the half.
- On NC State's next drive, Jaylen Samuels rushed in for a five-yard score on a seven-play, 84-yard drive. Jumichael Ramos made a diving, 33-yard catch at BC's nine on third-and-eight to keep the Wolfpack drive alive.
- State tacked on seven more on a 35-yard rush by Reggie Gallaspy with 12:25 left in the third quarter. He broke free and scampered into the end zone on a three-play, 45-yard drive.
- With 4:14 to play in the game, NC State added three more on a 37-yard field goal by Kyle Bambard.
- On the ensuing drive, Fadule completed his first six attempts to drive the Eagles down the field. Robinson snagged catches of 18 and 19 yards to move BC down the field and on a play action, Fadule hit sophomore Thadd Smith for a three-yard score. He then connected with redshirt freshman Tommy Sweeney for the two-point conversion.
