Eagles in the NFL: Week 4

Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons move to 4-0
Matt Ryan – QB Atlanta Falcons
Ryan led the Falcons to a 48 to 21 win over the Houston Texans on Sunday. He went 19 for 27 throwing the ball for 256 yards and a touchdown. The rushing attack was potent for the Falcons as they ran the ball 35 times for 135 yards and 4 scores. The Falcons are 4-0 and will face Washington at 1:00 PM on Fox this Sunday.
Luke Kuechly – LB Carolina Panthers
The pro-bowl linebacker missed his third straight game this past week. Kuechly has been recovering from a concussion he suffered in week 1. The Panthers have a bye week coming up which will give Kuechly an extra week to recover. He will look to return October 18 on the road in Seattle.
Andre Williams – RB New York Giants
Williams carried the ball 11 times on Sunday for 35 yards in the Giants 24 to 10 win over the Buffalo Bills this past weekend. The Giants backfield is being run by committee, but the former Eagle saw the most carries on the day. The Giants will look to break above .500 on Sunday Night Football this week against the San Francisco 49ers.
Anthony Castonzo – LT Indianapolis Colts
Castonzo played every offensive snap for the Colts this past Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He helped protect Boston College alum Matt Hasselbeck, allowing Matt to throw 30 for 47 with 282 yards and a touchdown in their 16-13 win over the Jaguars. The Colts have a short week ahead of them, facing the Houston Texans on Thursday Night Football this week.
B.J. Raji – DL Green Bay Packers
Raji was on the field for 62% of the defensive snaps for the Packers in their 17-3 win over the San Francisco 49ers. He had 3 tackles in the game. Raji and the Packers are off to a 4 and 0 start and will look to make it 5-0 against the St. Louis Rams this Sunday.
Gosder Cherilus – RT Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Cherilus played every offensive snap for the Bucs this past week in their loss to the Carolina Panthers. Cherilus and the Bucs O-Line played well enough to put the team in a position to win, allowing their rookie QB to throw 26 for 43 with 287 yards and 2 touchdowns. The downfall for the Bucs was the 4 interceptions rookie QB Winston also threw. The Bucs will look to bounce back against the Jacksonville Jaguars this Sunday.
Kasim Edebali – LB New Orleans Saints
Edebali is a LB and special teamer for the Saints. He was on the field for 45 plays but did not register any stats in the Saints 26 to 20 OT win over the Dallas Cowboys.
Mark Herzlich – LB New York Giants
Herzlich registered 4 tackles with 2 solo tackles in the Giants win over the Buffalo Bills. Herzlich is a key special teams contributor for the Giants. The Giants play on Sunday night against San Francisco this coming weekend.
Kevin Pierre-Louis – LB Seattle Seahawks
KPL is a special teamer for the Seahawks and he played in 21 plays this past Sunday but did not register any stats.
Ryan Quigley – P New York Jets
Quigley and the New York Jets faced the Miami Dolphins in London, England this past Sunday. He punted the ball 5 times and pinned the Dolphins inside their own 20-yard line once. The Jets have a bye this coming week.
Ian Silberman – OL San Francisco 49ers
Silberman did not see the field this past Sunday for the 49ers. He is currently their backup left guard. The 49ers face the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football this coming week.
Will Blackmon – DB Washington
Blackmon registered 1 tackle and was on the field for 45% of Washington's defensive plays. Washington got the win over the Philadelphia Eagles and will look to make it two in a row as they face Matt Ryan and a tough Atlanta Falcons team this Sunday.
Matt Hasselbeck – QB Indianapolis Colts
Hasselbeck got the start for the Colts this past Sunday in place of an injured Andrew Luck. Matt threw the ball 30 of 47 for 282 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in the Colts win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Colts have a short week as they face the Houston Texans on Thursday night. Hasselbeck will be ready to go if young star Andrew Luck needs another week off.
Andy Gallik – C Tennessee Titans
Gallik and the Titans had week 4 off. They will face the Buffalo Bills at home in week 5. Gallik is the backup center for the Titans.
Ifeanyi Momah – TE Arizona Cardinals
Momah suffered a torn MCL in September and is out for the season. We wish Ifeanyi a successful and speedy recovery.
