
Eagles Begin Upcoming Home Stand Friday

BC takes on Clemson Friday and has a rematch against Georgia Tech Sunday
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College looks to snap a seven-game losing streak, their longest since 2013, when they begin a four-game home stand on Friday evening against Clemson University for the team's annual "Pink Game" to raise awareness for breast cancer at Power Gym. Then on Sunday, the Maroon and Gold will host Georgia Tech in a matinee game, slated to begin at 12 noon. For BC, this will be the second time this season they face the Yellow Jackets after they dropped a heart breaker in five sets on September 27.

- Boston College is 3-17 (.150) all-time against the Tigers dating back to 1988 and won the last contest between the two schools, a Nov. 9, 2014 match that saw the Eagles top the Orange and White 3-0. In that game, Katty Workman tallied 12 kills while Kellie Barnum recorded 36 assists and Courtney Castle added an additional 18 digs.
- On defense, Clemson's Keelie Arneson leads the ACC, averaging 5.00 digs per set. She is currently the active career digs leader with 2,506 in her career, making her 14th all-time in NCAA history. She also ranks 23rd in NCAA history with a 5.31 digs per set average and her 5.00 digs per set average in 2015 is 27th in the nation.
- Leah Perri is eighth in the conference in kills/set (3.47) and tenth in points/set (3.95).
- Kate Federico is sixth in the ACC, averaging 8.66 assists/set.
- Clemson's eight freshmen is the highest total in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Three other teams within the ACC have six. (Notre Dame, Pittsburgh and NC State)

- The Eagles are 2-20 (0.10) all-time against the Yellow Jackets, including dropping a 3-2 heartbreaker to GT on September 27. In that game, BC held a 2-0 lead through the first sets, but GT was able to edge back in extra points of the third set before taking charge in the fourth and fifth sets. Katty Workman broke the BC career kills record of 1,449 in the second set.
- Entering the weekend, GT is ninth in the conference with a 5-5 record against ACC opponents.
- As a team, GT is in the top-five in digs, assists and opponent hitting percentage.
- Entering the weekend, junior Teegan Van Gunst is first in the ACC in kills per set (4.05) and points (4.49/set).

- Katty Workman fell into a tie for second in kills per set with her 4.00 average amongst ACC players. She is tied for 50th in the NCAA with that mark.
- Brittany Pavich moved up to fourth in the ACC with her .382 hitting percentage.
- Mallori Moffat is eighth in the ACC in assists, averaging 8.42 assists per set.
- Madisen Lydon is tenth amongst ACC players with 3.79 digs per set.
- The team looks to snap a seven game losing streak, their longest since a 16-game skid in 2013.
- Boston College also looks to snap a streak in which they have been unable to win a set. In the their current seven game skid, BC has not won a set, which ties the longest skid of such note in Chris Campbell's tenure. In 2010, Campbell's first season at the Heights, Boston College failed to win a set in seven straight games, as part of a 19-game losing streak.
- Boston College is currently ranked 134 of 334 in RPI, which measures wins and losses in addition to strength of schedule. There are currently two ACC schools in the top-20, four in the top-40, five in the top-50 and 10 in the top-100.
- Two of the Eagles losses this season, including the most recent one at Florida State on Sunday, Oct. 25, was against AVCA Top-25 Teams. FSU is currently ranked 15th in the poll while Louisville is at 23rd, respectively. Michigan State, who BC fell to at the Holly Young Invitational, received 53 votes and is ranked 27th. North Carolina, who BC plays during their upcoming home stand, received 14 points and currently sits at 32nd in the AVCA poll.
- Boston College will continue their home stand next weekend with two games on tap against NC State (Friday, Nov. 6 at 7:30 pm) and North Carolina (Sunday, Nov. 8 at 12 pm). Sunday's game against North Carolina will also be Senior Day, to honor the Eagles five seniors: Mallori Moffat, Franny Hock, Kam McLain, Katty Workman and Sarah Mendes.
