BC Adds New Members to Squad for 2015-2016 Season

Eagles Rowing Adds 26 Freshmen/Novices
The Boston College women's rowing team added 26 new members to their team for the upcoming 2015-2016 season, as announced recently by head coach Steve Fiske and assistant coach Amy Weatherby.
Among the 26 new members, 21 are freshman rowers, three are freshman coxswains while Megan Lydon and Haley Martin join the team as sophomores.
According to assistant coach Amy Weatherby, the athletes were named to the team after a two-week trial period and tryout starting in early September. The group has demonstrated a lot of potential throughout the tryout process, and all will serve as positive additions to the team in the upcoming year.
Of those who excelled during the tryout process, freshman Madison Cann, a native of Wilmington, Del., broke two ERG tryout records previously held by sophomore Jessica Ferrante. Cann, and fellow freshman Isabelle Daellenbach, were also named Freshman Class Leaders for the 2015-2016 season.
Weatherby said, "This Freshmen/Novice class has set some challenging goals, and they are excited to work towards them. We are excited to add these 26 to the team. They have all proven they have something significant to offer the team as a whole."
