Offense shows improvement against Clemson
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Although the Boston College football team dropped its third game in a row, there are some bright spots to hang onto.
The Eagles offense made baby steps in a 34-17 loss at Clemson on Saturday. It was a game head coach Steve Addazio felt true freshman quarterback Jeff Smith "took a huge step forward" in, as he recorded his first start and threw his first career touchdown pass. Unfortunately, it was the first time the Boston College defense appeared human as the unit was overwhelmed by the Tigers offensive attack.
In former Eagle news, Mark Herzlich is hustling into a key role defensively for the New York Giants. Meanwhile, quarterback Matt Hasselback is still getting it done during the twilight of his career.Â
