Eagles Have Success in Princeton N.J.

Princeton, N.J. - The Boston College Men's Tennis team traveled to Princeton this past weekend to compete in the Farnsworth Invitational.
Overall, the Eagles had a successful weekend. Â Sophomore Will Turner went 3-1, falling in the final round of the Lenz consolation bracket. Â Senior Kyle Childree went 2-2 falling in the semifinals of the same bracket.
Junior Aidan McNulty competed in the Cordish singles bracket starting off 3-0 before falling in the finals to Wisconsin's Alan Sweet (4-6), (7-5), (6-4).
Boston College found the most success in the Pagoda single's bracket, where Alexandre Thirouin and Kent Mukai each went 3-0 from opposite ends of the bracket to meet in the finals. Â Thirouin and Mukai did not faceoff in the finals, instead deciding to each play a final match against competition from other schools.
In the Orange Doubles bracket the Eagles pairing of Childree and junior Hank Workman went 5-0 beating St. Johns and Wisconsin in the semifinals and finals, respectively. Â In the same bracket, sophomores Jeffrey Melvin and Kent Mukai fell in the first round before bouncing back to go 4-0 to win the consolation bracket.
Boston College Men's Tennis will look to build on the successful weekend at Princeton as they travel to New Haven, Conn, this weekend to compete in the ITA Regional Tournament.
