Winning Weekend For Men's and Women's Swim Teams

The men's swim team defeated Bryant, 163- 94, this past weekend at Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I. It was the Eagles opening meet of the season. Cole Mckenzie and  Dan Kelly had a busy day as they both placed first in two individual events and helped the Eagle win the 200 relay. The Women defeated Bryant 135-127.Â

The men's swim team defeated Bryant, 163- 94, this past weekend at Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I. It was the Eagles opening meet of the season. Cole Mckenzie and  Dan Kelly had a busy day as they both placed first in two individual events and helped the Eagle win the 200 relay. The Women defeated Bryant 135-127.Â
BC HIGHLIGHTS
- The men's 200 yard medley relay team – Josh Williams, Cole Mckenzie, David Howard and Dan Kelly - took first with a time of 1:34.81.
- Anthony Richardson won the 1000 free in 10:06.27, while teammate Artie Hidalgo placed second with a 10:11.85.
- The Eagles swept the first three places in the 100 backstroke – Conor Chamness (52.75), Taylor Cortens (53.00) and Josh Williams (53.84).
- Dan Kelly won the 100 free in 47.70, while teammates Conor Chamness was second (48.62) and David Hunter placed third (48.93). Kelly also won the 50 frees in 21.19.
- David Howard won the 100 butterfly in 52.37, while teammate Daniel Creighton placed third (54.75).
- BC swept the 200 backstroke as Taylor Cortens placed first in 1:53.05, while Josh Williams was second (1:59.11) and Daniel Creighton was third (2:00.16)
- The women's 200 yard medley relay team- Katherine Karle, Samantha Couillard, Jordan Parry, and Maureen Barron- took second with a time of 1:52.81
- Amanda Bieler won the 1000 free with a time of 10:49.59
- Teammates Erika Freeman and Katherine Karle took second and third place in the 100 backstroke with times of 1:00.83 and 1:01.65, respectively.
- Jordan Parry(2:13.28), Emily Smith(2:14.14), and Emily Mann(2:14.43)Â took second, third, and fourth place in the 200 Butterfly.
- The Eagles swept the 50 free-Â Maureen Barron (24.89), Julie Dobson(25.10), and Grace Kunkel(25.30)
- Amanda Bieler(5:18.82) and Elizabeth Manning(5:21.92) placed first and second in the 500 free.Â
