HOW IT HAPPENED
- Miami took a, 16-7, lead over BC in the first eight minutes as the Eagles were shooting just 25 percent from the floor. Miami went 6-for-14 with two three's in the stretch.
- BC fell behind 27-10 with 6:26 to play. The Eagles were shooting 18 percent at that point.
- Rookie Ashley Kelsick went on a run as she scored eight straight points to cut into the Miami lead with 3:03 to play in the half - BC 17, Miami 32.
- Sophomore Emilee Daley hit a layup at the buzzer as the Eagles were down, 34-23, at the half. BC shot just 26 percent from the floor in the half.
- Miami opened the second half on a 9-4 run to go up, 43-27.
- The Hurricanes hit three straight three's, two from Jessica Thomas for a 24 point lead, 51-27, with 15:48 to play in the game. At that point, Miami was shooting 45 percent from the three-point line (9-for-20).
- The Eagles battled hard but could never cut into the lead after Miami hit three three's.
