ACC Teams 2015 Schedules
Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Boston College football team will host seven home games, including four against Atlantic Coast Conference opponents, in the 2015 season.
BC starts the year with four games in the friendly confines of Alumni Stadium and the home schedule is highlighted by hosting Florida State for the Eagles' conference opener on Friday, Sept. 18, which will be nationally televised by an ESPN platform. The Eagles lost a close battle to the two-time defending ACC Champion Seminoles in Tallahassee in 2014, losing by three in the final four minutes. FSU was one of four teams to play in the inaugural College Football Playoff.
Before hosting the `Noles, the Eagles will take on Maine to open 2015 on Sept. 5, followed by Howard on Sept. 12. Last year, the Eagles defeated the Black Bears, 40-10, and have won the last five meetings, dating back to 1929. It will be the first ever meeting between BC and Howard.
Before their first road game, the Eagles will welcome Northern Illinois to The Heights on Sept. 26. The only previous meeting between the two squads was in 1971, when BC won, 20-10. The MAC Champion Huskies are coming off an 11-3 record and an appearance in the Boca Raton Bowl.
The Eagles travel to Durham, N.C., to play Duke for the first time since 2011. After hosting Wake Forest on Oct. 10, they will play back-to-back games at Clemson (Oct. 17) and at Louisville (Oct. 24). BC returns home to take on cross-divisional rival Virginia Tech (Oct. 31) and NC State (Nov. 7) before a bye week. The Eagles have a 9-4 (.692) all-time record against the Wolfpack, the best winning percentage of any Atlantic Division foe.
BC returns to action on Nov. 21 for a one-of-a-kind bout with Notre Dame at Fenway Park. Boston College will be returning to a venue that served as home field for the Eagles for 76 games from 1914 through 1956. The last time BC played at Fenway was in 1956 against Holy Cross, the season before Alumni Stadium was dedicated.
The Eagles finish off the regular season in Syracuse, N.Y., on Nov. 28. Since SU joined the ACC in 2013, each team has won on its home turf in the rekindling of the old BIG EAST rivalry.
