After Georgia Tech tied the game with 1:26 left, 59-59, Boston College scored the next four points to pull away for the win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Georgia Tech went on the first run of the game, a 9-3 one, to build a 14-7 lead at the 8:56 mark.
- Boston College then rattled off 12 unanswered points to take a 19-14 lead with just under five minutes left in the half. Hanlan and Brown both had five points in that span.
- Marcus Georges-Hunt hit consecutive 3-pointers to spark an 8-0 response which gave the Yellow Jackets the lead back, 22-19, with 3:36 left.
- The Eagles ended the first half on a 7-2 run to take a 26-24 lead into the break.
- BC started the second half on an 8-2 run and eventually gained a 40-30 lead with 14:35 left in the game.
- Georgia Tech scored seven unanswered points midway through the half to cut the BC lead down to 48-44 at the 8:34 mark.
- Boston College held a 59-52 lead with 3:58 left, but a 7-0 Georgia Tech run tied it up with 1:26 to go.
- Hanlan hit a layup and then Heckmann converted a 1-and-1 for the game's next four points which secured the win.
