TURNING POINT
After Boston College cut its deficit to two points, a 9-4 Louisville stretch gave the Cardinals a 68-61 lead with 3:29 left in the game.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The two teams traded matching 8-2 runs to start the game with Louisville's coming first. Brown had five of the points in the BC run.
- The Cardinals were on top, 21-20, and then scored eight unanswered to build a nine-point lead with 7:08 left in the half.
- BC responded with a 9-2 run, hitting three 3-pointers, to cut the deficit to 31-29.
- The Eagles trailed at the half, 35-33.
- Louisville built its lead to 45-37 but a quick 5-0 spurt by the Eagles brought it to within three with 12:39 remaining.
- The Cardinals stretched the lead back to 59-49 but BC battled back again with eight unanswered points to pull within two at the 6:48 mark. Heckmann had five of the points.
- A 9-4 Louisville stretch after that put the lead at 68-61 with 3:29 left and BC could only get as close as five points the rest of the way.
