- Graduate student Aaron Brown led all scorers with 21 points while adding six rebounds.
- Classmate Dimitri Batten added 17 points and five boards. It was the most points he has scored since December 14.
- Junior Olivier Hanlan had 13 points (all in the second half), five rebounds and five assists.
TURNING POINT
Boston College held a 12-4 lead at the 14:41 mark of the first half, but Syracuse finished with a 31-5 run to take a 35-17 lead into the locker room.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Boston College jumped out to a 9-2 lead by hitting three of its four 3-point attempts. Brown connected on both of his tries to start the run.
- The Eagles held a 12-4 lead at the 14:41 mark, but Syracuse clamped down the rest of the half and finished with a 31-5 run to take a 35-17 lead into the locker room.
- An 11-2 BC run to start the second half brought the deficit back into single digits, 37-28, but a quick 9-3 run by the Orange pushed it back to 46-31.
- The Eagles never faded down the stretch and went on a 7-2 spurt to pull within six, 66-60, with 53 seconds left, but that is as close as they would get.
