Hilliman, Westphal Named Eagles of the Week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Freshman running back Jon Hilliman (football) and senior Liv Westphal (cross country) have been named Eagles of the Week.
Hilliman had season highs with 24 carries and 128 yards in the 24-21 loss to Colorado State on Saturday. He scored two rushing touchdowns for the third-straight game. Hilliman registered his first 100-yard game, averaging 5.3 yards per carry against the Rams. He also recorded a career-long 52-yard run in the game. He is tied for the team lead with six touchdowns and second with 369 total yards.
Westphal placed first overall at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown on Friday in the women's 5K with a time of 16:30.0. That time beat last year's by 58 seconds and set a new meet record. Westphal finished 21 seconds ahead of second place in a pool of 207 runners from nationally and regionally ranked programs. She helped the Eagles to a fourth place overall finish out of 21 teams. Westphal was also named the ACC Performer of the Week.
Football (3-2, 0-1 ACC) is off this weekend and travels to NC State on October 11. No. 17 cross country competes next at the New England Championships which is also on October 11.
