Softball Falls To NC State, 6-1

The Boston College softball team dropped the final game in a three-game series at NC State on Saturday afternoon at Dail Stadium. The Eagles defeated the Wolfpack twice on Friday but fell Saturday to the Wolfpack, 6-1. BC is now 25-19 overall and 9-11 in the ACC, while NC State is now 29-13 overall and 13-6 in the conference.
Jordan Weed took the loss on the mound as she gave up nine hits and six earned runs in 4 2/3 innings. NC State's Emily Wieman improved to 24-10 as she struck out four, gave up one run and just three hits.
NC State had 10 hits and three homeruns in the win. Leah Jones went 2-for-3 with two RBI's, while Chelsea Tate had two hits and two runs.
BC's offense came from a single from Nicole D'Argento and Jessie Daulton and a double from Weed.
Boston College will next play on Wednesday, April 23 as the Eagles host North Carolina in a double-header at Shea Field. The first game will start at 1 p.m.
