Softball to Have Five Games on ESPN3

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College softball team will have five conference games broadcasted on ESPN3 during the 2014 season, as announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference on Thursday. The schedule includes a historical-best 242 events, 83 more than the previous mark.
The schedule includes a record 37 softball games, including all seven games of the ACC Softball Championship in College Park, Md.
Boston College will have both games of a double header on Saturday, March 1 at Georgia Tech aired on ESPN3. The first game starts at 1 pm while the second is scheduled to begin at 3 pm. The contests mark the first two ACC games on the season for the Eagles.
ESPN3 will also air the entirety of BC’s three-game series against NC State on Friday, April 18 and Saturday, April 19. The Eagles and the Wolfpack face off at 4 pm and 6 pm in a double header on Friday, and play again at 12 pm on Saturday.
All games carried on an ESPN network or a regional sport network will also be available on WatchESPN.

Boston College opens the season on Feb. 14 with a double header against Central Arkansas at 11 am and Memphis at 7 pm. in Lafayette, La.
