HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first half was tight the entire way with neither team gaining a lead of more than two possessions. There were 11 ties and seven lead changes in the first 20 minutes.
- Providence had the largest lead of the first half, 14-10, at the 11:37 mark.
- The Friars' Carson Desrosiers hit a 3-pointer as time expired to tie the game, 34-34, at the half.
- BC went on the first run of the game - which proved to be decisive - when it scored seven unanswered points to take a 47-40 lead with 14:50 left. Hanlan capped the run with a 3-pointer.
- Providence cut the lead to three a couple of times, the last when it was 53-50 with 6:38 to go.
- A quick 9-2 BC run after that pushed the lead to 62-52 with just 3:30 left.
