BC HIGHLIGHTS
- Freshman Ashley Kelsick notched her first career double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds while Kelly Hughes added 17 points and eight boards. Junior Karima Gabriel came off the bench and added eight points and a career-high nine rebounds. Nicole Boudreau finished with 13 points and four rebounds.
TURNING POINT
The Eagles had a 11-2 run which started with a three-pointer by Ashley Kelsick at 9:34 in the second half. Sophomore Emilee Daley (5 points, 2 rebounds) followed with a three and after two fouls shots by Kelsick, she hit a layup to give BC a 54-44 lead with 7:34 to play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the second half, BC opened up with an 8-1 run sparked by two three's by Hughes and Boudreau. BC 35, 31
- NU tied the game at 37-37 on six straight points.
- Freshman Rachel Gartner hit a three and followed it up with a backdoor pass leading Hughes to a layup, BC 42, NU 40 with 11:44 to play.
- BC went on a 14-4 run at the 11:44 mark to take a 56-46 lead with just under six minutes to play. Seven of the 14 points came from Ashley Kelsick.
- Northeastern cut it to nine twice but the Eagles nailed six free throws in the final three minutes to seal the win.
- Northeastern led through the first 15 minutes of the first half. The lead grew to eight points with 11 minutes to play on a layup by Samantha DeFreese.
- The Eagles slowly cut the lead to one point when Lauren Engeln hit a jumper with 7:06 to play.
- A layup by Karima Gabriel gave BC a one-point lead with 2:49 left in the first half. Northeastern held a 30-27 lead at the half on a DeFreese layup.

BC shot 25 percent from the arc in the first half but turned it around in the second half by hitting 5-for-9 (55.6%) ... BC won the battle of the boards, 44-42 ...
