HOW IT HAPPENED
- Providence took a 10-2 lead behind the hot shooting of guard Tori Rule. Rule hit three three-pointers in the first four minutes of play.
- BC cut the Providence lead to three points on a driving layup by Lauren Engeln with less than nine minutes to play.
- The Eagles took the lead on a three-pointer from Kelly Hughes with 3:14 to play in the half. BC would hit three three's in the final minute of play one by Kelsick, Hughes and then Rachel Gartner with 13 seconds left to take a, 39-33, lead at the half..
- In the second half, Providence cut the lead to three points but four straight points from Kat Cooper extended the lead to seven points. The Eagles then went on a 23-3 run in the final 10 minutes of the game to send any comeback from Providence. BC's run was sparked by two three's by Hughes and the defense causing 10 Friar turnovers.
