TURNING POINT
Boston College cut the Dayton lead down to 54-52 with 4:20 left, but Dayton scored the next 10 points to seal the win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Dayton made the first run of the game went it went on a 10-2 run over 4:00 to take an 18-8 lead midway through the first half.
- BC responded with an identical 10-2 run to bring the deficit back to 20-18 with 7:41 on the clock. Graduate student Dimitri Batten converted a 3-point play and Odio hit a trey during the run.
- The Flyers scored the last five points of the half to take a 34-27 lead into the locker room. Jordan Sibert closed out the first 20 minutes with a 3-pointer, his fourth of the half.
- With the game tied at 42-42, Dayton scored five-straight points, but BC responded with five of its own to tie the game again.
- The game was still tied at 47-47 before the Flyers scored five straight to take a 52-47 lead with 5:58 to go.
- The Eagles rallied back to get the game to 54-52, but Dayton scored the next 10 points to pull away for the win.
