Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Boston College freshman left-handed pitcher Carmen Giampetruzzi earned first-team all-state honors as a junior and senior out of Trinity High School in Manchester, N.H. He was ranked the top southpaw in the state and the second-best player overall by Perfect Game USA. He tallied a 4-2 record with 83 strikeouts over 40 innings as a senior. The multiple-sport athlete also played quarterback and was a forward on the basketball team, earning all-state honors in both sports as a senior.
Giampetruzzi sat down with Amanda Irving to talk about the transition to college, how playing three sports has helped his game and some of his favorite things.
