Eagles place second at the NEISA Championships
The Boston College sailing team placed second at the conference championship this past weekend. The team of William Bailey, Raul Rios and Katja Sertl helped the Eagles defeat Salve Regina in the quarterfinal round. In the semifinal round, Boston College defeated Dartmouth, 3-0. That win secured a national championship competition berth for the team. In the conference final, BC lost to Yale, 2-0.
NAVY FALL WOMEN'S REGATTA
The Boston College women's sailing team placed fourth overall at the Navy Fall Women's Regatta hosted by Navy in the Annapolis Harbor over the weekend. The Eagles posted 300 points, while the regatta winner - St. Mary's College of Maryland - had 269 points. Navy placed second with 290 points, while College of Charleston had 295 points.
The team of Erika Reineke and Elizabeth Barnard placed first in the A Division with 81 points. In the B Division, Emily Schalka and Allyson Donahue placed seventh with 113 points while Hannah Lynn was seventh in the C division with 106 points.
MOODY TROPHY
The Boston College sailing team placed fourth with 116 points at the Moody Trophy Regatta hosted by Rhode Island on Salt Pond over the weekend. Roger Williams won the event with 105 points, while Dartmouth had 114 points for second place. Yale had 116 points but won the third place finish.
The A Division team of Harry Koeppel and Katherine Downey placed seventh with 71 points, just six points shy of Dartmouth for sixth place. In the B Division, Charles Sinks and Katherine Wysocki posted 45 points to place first over Dartmouth by four points.
BARNETT TROPHY REGATTA
The Boston College sailing team placed fourth with 124 points at the Nicholas Barnett Trophy Regatta hosted by Bowdoin College on Widgeon Cove. The host team won the event with 81 points, while MIT had 92 points in second place. Tufts slipped by BC with 120 points, while BU rounded out the top five with 139 points.
The A Division team of Domenic Bove and Riley Calhoun placed seventh with 85 points, while the B Division team of Henry Dumke and Allison Ferraris had 39 points for second place.
