HOW IT HAPPENED
Georgia Tech opened the game on a 16-3 run over the first 4:47. The Yellow Jackets hit their first seven shots of the game. Trae Golden had seven of those points.
The Yellow Jackets then extended their lead to 34-15 at the 6:31 mark thanks to a 12-2 run.
Boston College scored nine unanswered points over three minutes to cut the deficit to 34-24. Junior Lonnie Jackson sparked the run with a trey.
Georgia Tech extended its lead to 42-27 at halftime.
The Eagles scored 10 unanswered points early in the second half to cut the deficit to 50-42. That turned into a 19-5 run that trimmed it to 55-51 with 9:34 left.
BC knocked the deficit down to 57-56, but Georgia Tech scored the next five points to make it 62-56 with 1:35 left.
