HOW IT HAPPENED
North Carolina made the first run of the game, a 16-2 stretch over 3:40 to take a 20-9 lead at the 13:08 mark.
Boston College responded with a 13-4 run to pull within a bucket, 24-22, with 8:28 left. Junior Eddie Odio hit two of BC's three treys in that span.
The Tar Heels led at the half, 36-32.
UNC led, 52-46, before BC cut the lead down to 56-55.
