Stanwick Captures Spot on ACC All-Tournament Team

Boston College sophomore Covie Stanwick has captured a spot on the 12-member 2013 ACC All-Tournament Team, the conference announced at the conclusion of the championship game on Sunday night.
The Baltimore, Md., native scored a team-high eight goals in two games in the tournament. She scored a game-high five goals in third-seeded BC's 10-8 quarterfinal victory over third-seeded Virginia Tech on Thursday and followed that with a three-goal performance in the Eagles' 16-6 semifinal loss to host and second-seeded North Carolina on Friday.
The attacker scored her eight goals on 11 shots and tallied the game-winning goal against the Hokies.
On the season, the Notre Dame Prep product has recorded 60 goals - a school record - and 22 assists for 82 points. She represents BC's team leader in all three categories.
Maryland - which won its fifth-straight ACC title on Sunday - landed six players on the team - tournament MVP Katie Schwarzmann, Alex Aust, Taylor Cummings, Beth Glaros, Brooke Griffin, and Kasey Howard. North Carolina had three selections - Kara Cannizzaro, Abbey Friend, and Aly Messinger - while Virginia (Casey Bocklet) and Duke (Makenzie Hommel) each had one.
