ACC Releases Preseason Softball Poll

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Boston College softball team was selected to finish eighth in the 2013 ACC Preseason Coaches’ Poll as announced by the ACC on Friday.
North Carolina edged out Florida State (44) as the favorite in 2013 as they registered 45 points and four first place votes.
2012 ACC tournament champion Georgia Tech (38) placed third in the poll with one first place vote. Virginia Tech (31), Virginia (23), NC State (20), Maryland (14), and BC (9) rounded out the top eight.
The 2013 season for the Eagles commences on Feb. 22 when they will compete in the UT-Chattanooga Tournament against Missouri State and Miami (OH) in a season opening doubleheader.
