Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The seventh-ranked Boston College field hockey team will welcome eighth-ranked Duke to the Newton Campus Field Hockey Complex for its final regular-season home game on Saturday at 1 p.m. The Eagles (12-4, 1-3 ACC) will honor their five seniors before the start of the contest against the Blue Devils (11-4, 2-2 ACC).
The Eagles are facing a top-10 team for the sixth time in 2013. They are 2-3 against them and 4-4 against top-20 team this year. Current junior Hannah Nedeau put the Eagles on the board with her first career goal in the 14th minute off an assist from now-senior Virgynia Muma. Blue Devil Brenna Rescigno tied the game as time expired in the first on a corner. Current sophomore AshLeigh Sebia scored just over a minute into the second stanza on a corner to give the Eagles the edge. Classmate Leah Settipane made nine saves in the victory.
