Women's Rowing will hold a learn-to-row and tryout open to all BC students. All interested students are welcome to attend an informational meeting on Monday Sept. 3 at 5:00 p.m. in the Murray Room on the 4th Floor of the Yawkey Complex (see above map), to learn more about rowing and the BC team.
No rowing experience is necessary to tryout for the team.
"Athletes without any experience in the sport of rowing can become competitive with experienced rowers in a very short period of time," assistant coach Amy Weatherby said. "We would encourage anyone who is interested to come to the informational meeting and to the boathouse to see what rowing is all about."
The first practice will take place on Sept. 6 to help all new athletes prepare and understand what is expected of Boston College student-athletes. Practices will be held Monday to Saturday leading up to the tryout which is set to take place on Sept. 19 and 20.
Anyone interested in rowing should try to start on the paperwork required to participate in practices. More information about the team and required paperwork is available at: https://sites.google.com/site/bcwomensrowing/bc-rowing-forms.
