Kristin Igoe Earns All-America Honors

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Women's lacrosse grad student Kristin Igoe was among the 48 Division I student-athletes named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association All-America Teams on May 27. The IWLCA will honor all of the National All-Americans at the IWLCA All-American banquet on June 16 at the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge in King Prussia, Pa.
Igoe, a native of Framingham, Mass., earned second-team honors. This marks the second-consecutive year that she has been recognized as an IWLCA All-American, as she was named to the first team in 2011.
The Eagles' midfielder was one of 13 ACC student-athletes to be selected for the distinction. Four ACC student-athletes were named to the first team, while Igoe was joined by five others on the second team. Three ACC lacrosse players earned third-team accolades.
Igoe was also named to the WomensLax.com All-American Team for the second-straight year, according to an announcement made on May 25. She was one of 27 student-athletes from 13 Division I institutions to receive the distinction. In addition, she was selected by SynapseSports.com as a Second-Team All-American.
