CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Registration is now open for the second annual Boston College Coaches vs. Cancer 5K Classic, which will be held on September 15.
The 5K course will take participants through the streets of the Boston College campus. Registration fees prior to the event are $25, $15 for students and $10 for children 12 and under. The fees increase to $30 and $20, respectively, on the day of the race.
Registration includes event t-shirts for the first 300 participants to pick up packets, refreshments and prizes, and access to the autograph session with members of the Boston College basketball team.
Coaches vs. Cancer is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) that empowers athletic coaches, their teams, and local communities to make a difference in the fight against cancer. The initiative leverages the personal experiences, community leadership, and professional excellence of athletic coaches nationwide to increase cancer awareness and promote healthy living through year-round awareness efforts, fundraising activities, and advocacy programs.
