Rowing Opens Season at Jesuit Invitational

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -
The Boston College rowing team will open its spring season at the Jesuit Invitational on Saturday, March 17. The annual regatta is hosted by St. Joseph’s in Camden, N.J. on the Cooper River and is scheduled to be an all day event.
In addition to BC and St. Joseph’s, this year’s competition will feature Fairfield and Loyola.
“The Jesuit Invite is traditionally the first race of the year for BC, and the team is excited to race after a hard week of training during spring break,” assistant coach Amy Weatherby said.
The Eagles will race six boats in five different events over the course of the day. Below is BC’s race schedule and lane assignments for Saturday:
11:00 a.m. - Women’s Freshmen Four (Lane 3)
11:24 a.m. - Women’s Varsity Four (Lane 4)
11:36 a.m. - Women’s Freshmen Eight (two entries in Lane 3 and Lane 5)
12:00 p.m. - Women’s Second Varsity Eight (Lane 3)
12:24 p.m. - Women’s Varsity Eight (Lane 4)
