Clemson, S.C. - The Boston College baseball team travels to Clemson, S.C., to take on the No. 23 Tigers in a three-game Atlantic Coast Conference series. Both teams are looking for their first ACC win as the Eagles (6-8, 0-3 ACC) dropped three games to No. 10 Miami and the Tigers (6-8, 0-3 ACC) lost to No. 4 North Carolina. BC is hoping to end a six-game skid.
Last season, the Tigers swept the three-game series in April in Chestnut Hill, winning two games, 9-2, and one, 7-5. The final two games were played on the same day due to weather and current junior Matt McGovern went 3-for-9 with a double on the day, recording his seventh straight multi-hit game. He also scored both of BC's runs in the first game. Senior Anthony Melchionda reached base in all four plate appearances with three walks and an RBI double in game one.
