Lacrosse Nabs Spots in Final Preseason Polls

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College lacrosse program wraps up this preseason with two more national rankings. The Eagles were tabbed at No. 10 in the deBeer women's preseason media poll on Jan. 30, and earned No. 13 in the first IWLCA poll of 2012 on Feb. 3.

The No. 13 ranking from the IWLCA is where BC ended the 2011 season after making its first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance.

Four other ACC teams are ranked in the IWLCA's Top 20. Maryland sits at No. 2, while North Carolina and Duke round out the top five at No. 3 and No. 5, respectively. Virginia is ranked 10th.

BC opens its season on Friday, Feb. 17 at Holy Cross. The game is scheduled for 4 p.m.
